Rutgers University Celebrates
National Postdoc Appreciation Week
September 20-24, 2021

Rutgers, Universitywide Office of Postdoctoral Affairs , joins the National Postdoctoral Association  (NPA) to celebrate the 12th Annual National Postdoc Appreciation Week, September 20-24, 2021. During this week-long celebration, institutions are encouraged to recognize the contributions that postdocs make to research and development in the United States.

During the week of September 20-24, the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs will be hosting two events. One event dedicated to career preparedness for all postdocs, titled “Your Career on Track”. Additionally, in partnership with the new Institute for the Study of Global Racial Justice we will host  a meet & greet event for postdocs at Rutgers University whose interests and/or research engages with issues of race, racism, and inequality as subject of research and analysis. Global Racial Justice Networking Event | September 23

Networking Event: Meet & Greet all postdocs at Rutgers working in the area of global racial justice 
Join us for a virtual networking event to meet & greet all postdoctoral fellows and associates at the four Rutgers campuses who engage with issues of race, racism, and inequality as subjects of research and analysis. This event is co-sponsored by the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and the Institute for the Study of Global Racial Justice.

Your Career on Track | September 20

This workshop will introduce participants to the concept of Four Stages of Career Development and will focus on how to use the individual development plan (IDP) and the mosaic of mentors map to set goals and stay on track. Breakout activities will provide the space to start working on your IDP and building a mosaic of mentors map to support you in the areas you need help with so that you can stay on track and accomplish your set career goals.
